Sinem Saniye's music is Norah Jones meets Nelly Furtado meets Astrud Gilberto meets Shakira! A New York City-based artist born in Germany with Turkish roots, its no wonder Sinem's music is infused with such international influence: Pop music flavored with Bossa Nova, Samba, Lounge, Tango, Turkish, and Electronica.

Sinem's debut album "When I Don't Sleep.." won several awards, most notably songwriting awards for many of the songs on the album, including the coveted *Grand Prize* in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition, the Lennon Award, and 2nd prize in the Billboard World Song Competition in 2008. The album was also chosen as the one of the TOP TEN albums by Global Rhythm Magazine, and got a shout out in TimeOut NY, SPIN, and The Village Voice.

One of the songs, "A Certain Kind Of Lovely," will be on all Delta flights starting January 2010! In addition to Indi Music TV, Sinem's music video for "Are We In Love" airs on MTV in Turkey and parts of Europe.

Grammy-award-winning collaborators (Henri Scars Struck, Mark Plati, and Greg Calbi) who have worked with the likes of Norah Jones, No Doubt, Brazilian Girls, Fiona Apple, and many more, also worked on Sinem Saniye's album, "When I Don't Sleep.." which is available on Amazon.com, CDbaby.com, and iTunes.
