TV Week Magazine
IndiMusic TV, an upstart independent music video program that recently concluded a 15-week Saturday night run on Long Island, N.Y., digital station WLNY, is all about the little guy: It airs videos by aspiring musical artists and then conducts an on-air poll for audience favorite. Think a low-budget, prerecorded "American Idol." But after having helped little-known acts get more exposure in the New York metropolitan area (WLNY reaches homes in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut), IndiMusic TV creator Chris Pati is looking for more exposure for the show itself and aims to move into national syndication. "In one season, we've established a hub for exposing and breaking new musical talent in the No. 1 market in America," Mr. Pati said. "We've done it by creating a lean and mean business model for music on television that taps the only growing sector of the businessthe independent sector." Now that's gotta be music to somebody's ears.

IMTV's Chris Pati performs at President Obama's Inaugural Ball
President Obama's Inaugural Commander-In-Chief Ball was produced by Suzanne DePasse who was accompanied by Mr. Berry Gordy Jr. (former President of Motown Records). Mr. Gordy asked our own Chris Pati to arrange and perform an impromptu medeley of "America The Beautiful" and "Lift Up Your Hearts And Voices" for Opera star and Actress N'kenge at the Inaugural Ball which was broadcast live all around the world, to all the troops on Pentagon TV, and many major networks.

Mr. Gordy was very pleased with the performance and congratulated Chris on pulling off the performance with multiple key changes and only a 5 min rehearsal! Chris shared the stage with is longtime friend Nigel Holland and his band "Right On", which was the house band for the event. Chris also shared the stage with such stars as Smokey Robinson, Bon Jovi, Josh Groban, Jordin Sparks, Chris Tucker and George Lopez (Host of the event).
